New Israeli Ships of the Line - 2194

Below is the New Israeli Fleet as I have been fiddling with it. This version of the fleet has "the works" - I've added all the innovations and new rules I've wanted. I think it plays well.

New rules used by this edition of the fleet:

  1. Stealth Hull (Range Band modification version)
  2. Three Row Hulls
  3. Long Range Pulse Torpedoes
  4. Passive Mode for Fire controls (restricts range to 24 mu if used. Active mode voids stealth)
  5. Linear Thrust/Maneuver Split (i.e. 4/3, 5/3 Drives)
  6. CPV fighter and bay costing (Not sure if I did it right with the most current version, though)

DNS Ben Gurion
TMF 200, NPV 1024 (CPV 1224)
Technical Specifications:
Hull Integrity 60 (20/20/20)
Crew Factor: 10

Drives: Main Drive 4, Maneuver 3, FTL
Notes: The Ben Gurion and Rabin are the home fleet flagships of the two most populated New Israel iworlds (Gan and Naveh, respectively). Rarely venturing outside the home systems, if they are seen in the deep field, it is a sure sign of big trouble brewing. The Golda Meir was completed late in 2193 to flag New Israel's Core Defense Expeditionary Force, in cooperation with UNSC.

Notes: The Sabra is the only capital ship in the New Israeli fleet to not mount long-range weaponry. Its original class name was Molatetan (patriot) but the crew of the class vessel insisted upon renaming it because of the ship's resemblance to both the desert fruit and the native Israeli appellation: it's both tough and stubborn, it's more prickly than a porcupine, and if it gets in your pocket, it's very hard and very painful to get out. The Sabra also mounts an area defense anti-fighter/missile array, and is nimble enough to protect both itself and other fleet elements.

Names: Sabras are named after a hodgepodge of people and things: Sabra, Moladetan (patriot), Miflagti (partisan), Shaliach (envoy), Shimshon
