This system is described in the Defences: ECM section.
This system is described in the Weapons: EMP section, under Neutralizer.
All Battlestar Galactica fighters appear to have atmospheric capabilities, some have been observed to have more exotic capabilities, such as FTL drives, cloaking devices, and time travel!
In this section, there will be a brief description of each fighter type, followed by one or more interpretations of the fighter in Full Thrust terms.
The Viper Fighter is the most common fighter fielded by the Colonies.

These are Multimode Fighters that are usually fitted with Fighter Missile Racks
These weapons roll to hit as vortex (pulse) torpedoes, but their damage is handled differently. When they hit, roll 1D6:
Roll | Damage Caused |
---|---|
1 | Screens hit — one screen (or holofield) generator is damaged. |
2 | Fire control hit — one fire control system is damaged. |
3 | Weapons hit — all beam weapons and PDS must make a 4+ threshold check to avoid being damaged. |
4 | Weapons hit — all non-beam weapons, including Salvo Missile Launchers, magazines, and fighter bays on board must make a 4+ threshold check to avoid being damaged. |
5 | Engines hit — the ship lurches as the engines are damaged. |
6 | Hull damage — the ship takes d6 damage, as per a normal Pulse Torpedo hit. |
All damaged systems may be fixed with Damage Control Parties as usual. Plasma torpedoes have the same mass/points cost as vortex torpedoes, and can be purchased as small, standard, or large systems with the same effect on range.
ICONS (example): (1–arc) (3–arc)
[Oerjan] The Plasma Torpedo is an EMP weapon which takes out random internal systems. IMO a "generic EMP gun" would be better than this letter-for-letter translation of GW's weapon.
All Space: Above and Beyond fighters appear to have atmospheric capability.
In this section, there will be a brief description of each fighter type, followed by one or more interpretations of the fighter in Full Thrust terms.
The Hammerhead Fighter is the most common fighter fielded by Earth. Treat the Hammerhead as a Multirole (Standard) fighter. |
All Starblazers fighters appear to have atmospheric capability.
In this section, there will be a brief description of each fighter type, followed by one or more interpretations of the fighter in Full Thrust terms.
The Black Tiger Fighter is the most common fighter carried by the Argo/Yamato.
Treat the Black Tiger as a Multirole (Standard)
fighter, except that it will only inflict 1 Damage Point to a ship
on a roll of 6. |
The Tiger II Fighter is a strike fighter carried by the Argo/Yamato. Treat the Tiger II as a Multirole (Standard) fighter. |
The Vortex Torpedo is available in Light, Medium, and Heavy versions. The Medium Vortex Torpedo is treated as a Pulse Torpedo (see Fleet Book 1, page 7), while the Light Vortex Torpedo is treated as a Short Range Pulse Torpedo Launcher, and the Heavy Vortex Torpedo is treated as a Long Range Pulse Torpedo Launcher.
